Meet Your Provider
Amy Mason, MSN, FNP-C
Born in Johnson City, Tennessee and raised in Newnan, Georgia, Amy has been serving patients in healthcare in various roles for almost 20 years. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Frontier Nursing University and has practiced across primary care, occupational and deployment health, geriatrics, women’s health, and hospice.
Her career has taken her from supporting Delta Air Lines employees during the height of COVID-19 to caring for active-duty Airmen at Tyndall Air Force Base, to helping countless families navigate end of life care. In every setting, Amy has been known for her calm presence, thoroughness, and ability to connect with patients during both routine visits and life’s more complex moments.
At the center of her work is a simple belief: patients deserve to feel seen, heard, and respected.
Why She Started Compass Healthcare
After years working within traditional healthcare systems, Amy saw how rushed appointments, insurance constraints, and administrative demands often limited the time and attention patients needed.
She knew care could be different.
Compass Healthcare was created to provide relationship-based, accessible medicine—where visits are unhurried, conversations are meaningful, and decisions are made collaboratively.
A personal health scare—a mild heart event that shifted her perspective on prevention and long-term wellness—deepened her commitment to proactive care. That experience reinforced what she already believed: prevention matters, education matters, and patients deserve a provider who walks alongside them, not ahead of them.
Her Approach to Care
Amy’s clinical background includes primary care, occupational medicine, women’s health, and hospice and palliative care. Each of these experiences has shaped her steady, whole-person approach to medicine.
She believes good healthcare begins with listening.
Her approach centers on:
- Thorough, unrushed visits
- Education that empowers informed decisions
- Thoughtful management of chronic conditions
- Preventive care focused on long-term wellness
- Clear communication and direct access
Whether caring for adults navigating chronic conditions, supporting women through hormonal transitions, or helping patients focus on prevention, Amy strives to provide care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and grounded in trust.
Outside the Office
Family is central to Amy’s life, and she values her deep Georgia roots. She cherishes time with her husband and children and believes some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around the dinner table or outdoors in quiet reflection.
Music has long been a source of renewal, and she enjoys creative outlets such as watercolor and embroidery. When time allows, she finds peace hiking, kayaking, or simply stepping outside to reset.
Her faith and personal experiences have shaped her belief that healthcare is more than a profession—it is a calling to serve others with integrity, humility, and heart.
